SPECIALTY IPA

First unleashed as a beer brewed by Head Brewer, Chad Henderson, as a treat for himself on his 33rd birthday, this IPA pays homage to a favorite treat of his childhood in the form of his favorite treat of adulthood.  Based on a West Coast style IPA (his adulthood treat, obviously, hopefully) featuring brite citrus and pine from Citra, Centennial and Amarillo hops, we accent the beer with orange peel, lactose and vanilla bean to mimic an orange Creamcicle.  Both refreshing and assertive, this brew pairs with pool lounging in the sun as well as in a low lit taproom.  Grain used is Two Row, Caramunich, Vienna malt.  Hops are Citra, Centennial and Amarillo.
